Glyphs 2.4 [Multi/Ru]

Всем знакомый аналог медиатеки в виде панели слева каталогизирует ваши проекты по языкам, чтобы вам не приходилось хранить все свои разработки в одной куче. Там же выделены цифры, разделители, дополнительные символы, которые должны быть свойственны каждой новой модели.

Двойной щелчок по первой попавшейся под руку букве перебрасывает нас в графический редактор, где собран весь доступный инструментарий. Арсенала от Adobe вы здесь на найдёте, но необходимые элементы на месте: перо поработает над специфическими изгибами, прямоугольники заложат фундамент печатных фигур, прицел выпрямит линии.

Кривая работает очень гибко и запоминает ориентиры — достаточно подвести курсор к краю соседней детали и появится направляющая выбранной точке. Все размеры и отступы расположены под основанием символа и элементарно редактируются. На самом же листе трафарета  отчётливо прослеживается верхний и нижний регистр. Наших знаний в наскальных рисунках хватило только на такую скромную демонстрацию инструмента «Перо» и линеек. Последние обладают изрядной педантичностью и отражают все мелочи построения.

Огромная роль отведена панели инструментов, которая ещё точнее отрегулирует письменный экземпляр, раскрутит его, разложит по слоям и впишет кривую. Также в её функциях имеется работа с полями, чтобы определить полезное пространство каждой буквы. Кстати, если вы заметили, по щелчку на кнопку «T «эскиз становится более-менее подобным настоящему шрифту, окрашиваясь в чёрный цвет.

Glyphs насыщена множеством мелких и полезных функций в духе штриховки контура, трансформации, скругления углов и целой вереницы других, до которых обязательно доберутся питающие любовь к шрифтам люди. Нам достаточно направить пользователя на путь, чтобы в дальнейшем он самостоятельно комбинировал все возможные инструменты и делал открытия.

Не лишним будет упомянуть о возможности использования скриптов и макросов при строительстве шрифтов. А также очень хорошую службу сослужит панель добавления компонентов и глифов, дабы не повторять нечто, единожды созданное.
