What does it mean? It means, that today we are going to mark the first point on our map and set off for the new trip, the trip to the Chunja Rapids.

Fast and rapid Chunja river flows through Central Siberian Plateau and falls into the Podkamennaya Tunguska river not far from the Epicenter. No one knows, when and how that enigmatic, perennially covered with fog, forest of vertical cliffs on its left bank had appeared. Maybe those are the ancient monuments to our unknown guests from the cold space? What is hiding there, in the mist?

We invite you to pull aside the shroud of mystery and plunge into the secrets of the Chunja Rapids. Who knows, what we will meet at the next turn of the river...

And when we vanish together with our planet and our sun, our legacy will continue to exist, regardless of what that existence will be. Life will go on in any case. Its very essence is in the infinite changes and alterations, but at the same time in the continuance of itself.

Vanavara, Anavar, Annavarkan, Andaman... Point 60°20'43''N 102°17'03''E has a lot of names.
And there is something behind that. Vanavara is not just an ordinary rural settlement, placed somewhere deep in the Evenkiyskiy region of the Krasnoyarskiy krai. Vanavara is the closest to the Epicenter enhabited spot. The place, where "pilgrims" from all over the world arrive and set off towards the very heart of the Tunguska Mystery along the Kulik's Path.

The settlement of Vanavara is situated in the picturesque place on a steep cliffy bench of the Podkamennaya Tunguska river at the mouth of the small taiga river named Vanavarka. By 1908 there had been a trading outpost - a nomad camp of the Evenki hunters. On June, 30 at a distance of just 60 kilometers from that place an explosion, which power had equalled 2000 times of the explosive power of the Hiroshima bomb, had roared over the Evenki taiga... The place of the Tunguska Body had been searched for almost 20 years. All expeditions, setting off towards the place of the Tunguska Catastrophy, moved through Vanavara. As a result, that old trading outpost became the world-wide known settlement, that had accumulated its own mysteries and lores during more than a hundred years of its existence...

Today, on the 104th anniversary of the Tunguska Body fall, we are here, in Vanavara, ready to be absorbed by the legends of this enigmatic place and wander around its outskirts. We invite you to visit the local weather station, meet the beautiful sunrise at the bench of Podkamennaya Tunguska, walk the Kulik's Path and collect your own piece of Enigma...

Таинственная пустыня Наска находится на южном побережье Перу. В ней существуют древние загадочные фигуры (геоглифы), процарапанные сквозь тонкий слой почвы до белой меловой породы. Увидеть эти фигуры можно только с большой высоты, но, как известно, древние индейцы не имели самолётов. У них даже воздушных шаров не было. Зачем же они? Какой в них смысл? Фигуры трудоёмкие, ковырять землю в безводной пустыне малоинтересно, меж тем фигур таких больше десятка...
Для объяснения загадки существует невероятная гипотеза, будто сделаны они для космических пришельцев, имеют смысл заклинания, мольбы о возвращении, а сама пустыня — доисторический космодром... Теме палеоконтактов и посвящён альбом Empiric Project «Nazca».

It awoke in the darkness, all alone. Empty snowbound streets could have scarcely been recognized through the window rimed with frost. Not a single footprint could be seen on the snow around the houses. Nothing like the kids' footfalls over the pavement or the joyful songs coming from the neighbouring public garden could be heard. They were gone once again. They were all gone... Snowflakes seemed to have stopped right in the air. It was cold, lonely, silent. Only snow-covered cypress trees crackled with their logged branches. The glow of the forthcoming sunrise showed up over the horizon...

The only thing left was the reminiscence of the warm sunny days and of the sounds of the streets, filled with the motley crowd of vacationers. They have almost forgotten about it. But it, the common resort town, unknown to them in winter, will wait patiently. They will come back again, they will surely come back again...

An impact crater about 20 km in diameter and 500 m deep. Located in Russia in the basin of Nizhnyaya Tunguska river in Evenkiyskiy region of Krasnoyarsk province. Coordinates: N 65° 31', E 95° 56'. Age: approximately 40 Ma.

So, what do we know about it?

How did this crater appear? What at all can we know about an event, which had taken place at times, when knowledge itself in our usual understanding had not yet existed? Why don’t we have almost any media concerning this crater on open access and why all we can get are the fragments of the geological reports and several photos made from space? What secrets are hidden within this ancient crater?

In the bustle of days time flies by swiftly. Surrounded by a plethora of things, we occupy ourselves in various ways, rush to implement our plans telling ourselves that this is exactly what will make us happy. But the thought of finiteness and decay, if we dare to accept they are inevitable and at times sudden urges to seek for the firmer grounds, raise the ultimate questions, touch the limits of our perception of the world and of ourselves…

Taking into account the diversity of religious views, still it seems that the vast majority of the world’s religions tell us: «Hey, wake up, you are something different and bigger than what you habitually think of yourself, something that transcends the boundaries of birth, life and death. Experience it, establish yourself in it, and you will become ultimately satisfied and happy.»

The thought of awakening is in the foundation of this album. We tried to avoid any particular religion association in order to outline the universal nature of this ultimate human potential. We merely aimed to raise the question, as the answer can only come out of one’s own individual pursuit.

Modern man is too busy solving his own problems. Too often we don't notice beautiful and wonderful things that surround us, too many things go by, very close! This album is not about love, not about life and not about the nature of the Universe. It is about music - the world's language, capable of describing any events, experience, feelings. A language, where words are the same, phrases are laconic, thoughts are understandable to a person of any nationality. Some pieces simpliciter portray the past, others try to carry the listener away from the Earth to cosmic spaces.

There are a lot of old-school sounding and vintage synth imitations in some tracks. There is nothing fancy, popular or revolutionary. No vocals were inserted. All we have there is relaxing and thoughtful music... It's a 90% new stuff except Deep Breath and Orion specially remade for the album. The first one was written in 2009, the second - recently. I count on a close circle of listeners, who understand this type of sound. Special thanks to Vil Smith for the guitar recording on Like a Dream. This is my favorite track.

“World Language” became a kind of a line drawn under the years of my musical production. Among these eleven pieces one can find different musical genres. There's not only chillout, but also ambient, lounge, psy chill, house-techno (one piece), downtempo together with experimental sounds and noises. MXY7 contains samples taken from the recordings of asian instruments. Also, there is a lot of reverb and ambience imitation, specially added to amplify the overall effect.

All Objects Lost is a studio project formed by Nick Samarin and Polina Voloshina performing atmospheric and dreamy-melodic world/ambient music which sometimes varies from experimental and psychedelic to indie rock and pop. Debut self-titled LP was created in different surroundings with intention to capture feelings of the beautiful moments which are only here and now. These records inspired by red sunsets, Moscow nights in May, smell of the rain and long trips in mountains are for the time when the night comes and sleeping city gives some space for ambient fantasies of tired urban mind. Multi-lingual concept of an album is a one day of the world story which flows endlessly and it’s up to you to decide where you want to go.

All Objects Lost is a studio project formed by Nick Samarin and Polina Voloshina performing atmospheric and dreamy-melodic world/ambient music which sometimes varies from experimental and psychedelic to indie rock and pop. Debut self-titled LP was created in different surroundings with intention to capture feelings of the beautiful moments which are only here and now. These records inspired by red sunsets, Moscow nights in May, smell of the rain and long trips in mountains are for the time when the night comes and sleeping city gives some space for ambient fantasies of tired urban mind. Multi-lingual concept of an album is a one day of the world story which flows endlessly and it’s up to you to decide where you want to go.

Long ago at the blue, at the white Altai there lived an old wise shaman. He possessed a great power: he knew, how to beg Ulgen the Sevensky for wealth and prosperity of Altai peoples; he also knew, how to speak to Erlik so he did no harm to people. He understood the language of birds and animals, he could look into the past and into the future.

That shaman lived deep in the taiga surrounded by the mountains. Lonely stood his birch bark hut near the river. Only those with a truly great need could find a way to the shaman's hut.

Throughout his long life the shaman amassed great wisdom; it revealed to him, how a man should live in chime with another man, the land, the water and the sky, the animal and the bird, so the Altai ground would stand forever, flourishing and prospering.

Long lived the shaman; someone said that he lived a hundred years, others mentioned two hundred years. Once he looked into the future and saw that his days in this world were about to end. Deeply thought the shaman about it - because if he died, his great wisdom would die with him, as ne had neither the son nor the apprentice.

So the shaman left his birch bark hut and went down to the people and their settlements. He wanted to find a man with a bright mind and a clear soul so he could pass his wisdom to him. But the more he travelled, the more somber he became. Shallow became the men, the heavenly spark in them faded.

The young hunter wanted to understand the language of animals and birds, so he could beckon and shoot them. The khan's smart and powerful son asked, how to beg Ulgen, so he would give luck and prosperity only to him. No one thought about the motherland - nothing could happen to it, it stood before and it would stand forever!

Back to his hut went the shaman. The best clothes for the magical rite he put on, the master words he found and to Ulgen he spoke: "What to do?" - he asked. Six days sang and danced the shaman, six days the metal pendants on his clothes jingled and the furs waved. On the seventh day Ulgen answered: "Take the plain wood, take the flat stones, on them put your great wisdom as letters! Let these letters stay in the heart of Altai and wait for a man with a bright mind and a clear soul!"

Six days more lied the shaman exhausted. On the seventh day he got up, took the plain wood and the flat stones and began to carve the secret letters. No one saw him working, no one heard the stone hammering, no one knew where the shaman hid his knowledge. Only Ulgen knows if he succeeded in keeping his main knowledge - how the people and the land could live in chime - or if he died before that.

But on Altai, among the mountains, there flows a river Samuralu, near which long ago the shaman's hut stood. And its name means "hiding the book of wisdom, written on wood and stone".

Maybe sometime there will come a man with a bright mind and a clear soul with a heavenly spark inside, to whom the secrets of the old shaman will reveal, and there will become an eternal peace and plenty on the Altai ground.

106 years ago early in the morning there happened a thing, that interested humanity a lot: Tunguska Catastrophy. But why 'Catastrophy'? 106 years passed and there's still no answer to that. On the contrary: more and more questions arise. If something really hit the ground, what was it? Where did it fell? Why there were no traces?

According to one of the hypoteses, a part of the meteorite, that dropped just 8 km to the north-west, broke away and fell right to the bottom of the Cheko lake, forming a conical mini-crater there. Yes, but how can we be sure that the body that had fallen on the surface of our planet was a meteorite?

Since the fall of Tunguska Body (or was it a blast of some substance?) our technologies strode far off forward. We learned to imitate the sounds of nature using the electric current, transmit information over great ranges with lightning speed. We fight Earth gravitation and try to overpass enormous distances of airless space. Who knows if we are the first species in the Universe who reached the same progress or not...

What will happen when we find the species resembling us? What will their shamans tell their fellow tribesmen about our spaceship, burnt in the atmosphere of their planet? What secret keeps the bottom of the Cheko lake?..

Approximately 350 km from the nearest large settlement - town Pevek, the center of the Chukotski autonomous district - there exists a crater lake El'gygytgyn, which can be translated from Chukchee as "never melting", "white".

The form of the lake is the deep bowl shaped as a frame-mounted sapphire and is 18 km in diameter. The nature of the crater formation is unknown. The first suggestion, made by the Russian academician S. Obruchev, was that El'gygytgyn appeared in the crater of the extinct volcano. Later, there appeared a 'fallen space body' theory, which happened about 3.5 million years ago, creating the lake as a result. The space theory was subsequently confirmed by the results of the geological research. Samples, taken from the bottom of the reservoir, contained "spherules" (formations of metal and glass circle-shaped drips).

During its whole lifetime the lake have never been frozen through in spite of its almost never-melting ice cover.

The scientist, who were the first to explore El'gygytgyn at the brink of the 20th century, spoke of it as of the strange, obscure place, especially at night-time, when one is shivering from the oppressive feeling of just being near the water.

According to Chukchee legends, a dreadful monster Kalilgu, that looks like a reptile with enormous jaws, lives in the lake. From time to time some huge unidentified creature jumps out of the deep to the surface making great noise and instantly disappears back into the deep of the waters. As locals say, once "a frightening fishing had been caught, whose backbones where almost as high as a man"...

There is another legend, according to which a long time before there was a shaman, who lived near the lake in solitude, and disliked being disturbed greatly. His head was made of ice, and he could become so angry at the foreigners, that he inflicted terrible deadly diseases over those who disturbed him. There is one more description: "...near El'gygytgyn lake there lives a shaman, who can fly. His head is covered with ice, and his waist is naked and shining. Moreover, one of his hands holds a saber, and another - something like a mysterious 'winged object'". Ufologists suggest, that 'the head covered with ice and the naked shining body' can be the attributes of a cosmonaut's or an alien's pressure suit.

Natives prefer not to come close to the lake, considering it a dead place and unwilling to beshrew themselves or their families. Even shamans avoid coming close to it. They say, that here one can often see unbelievable northern mirages, and people, being nearby at that moments, disappear without leaving a trace. Repeated human disappearances, going fishing at the lake, confirm the fears of the nearby settlement dwellers of this incomprehensible devilry concerned with this place.

So, what do the waters of the mysterious lake El'gygytgyn hide? Maybe, one day scientists will unravel all of its riddles. The only things we can do though is to hope that their excavations will not awake those who may slumber waiting in the wings under the thick ice layer and 200 meters of organic sediment, at the bottom of the never-freezing lake…

Олег был настоящим волшебником, шаманом, укротившим стихию Музыки. Ему удалось оставить больше, чем просто след... Это чувства, это эмоции, это частички его души, его мира, прикосновение к которым уносит куда-то далеко-далеко... высоко-высоко... в волшебные дали, не тронутые человеческой цивилизацией...

К сожалению, Олега больше нет с нами, он ушел от нас навсегда. Ушёл, но оставил нам свою чудесную Музыку. Он принёс её нам незадолго до своего конца. Он хотел, чтобы именно мы издали этот альбом, и мы бесконечно благодарны ему за это.

The best pass first… We can’t believe it… The best pass away, and pass prematurely. People are born and then they die, they come and go, that’s the natural way of things. What is important is what track they leave behind.

Oleg was a real magician, a shaman that tamed the element of Music. He succeeded in leaving more than just a track… What he left were emotions, music, parts of his soul, of his world, and when you touched them they would have brought you somewhere far away… aloft… to the magic planes untouched by the human civilization…

We are sorry to say that Oleg is not amongst us anymore, he passed forever. He passed, but also he left us his wonderful Music. He brought it to us shortly before his end. He wanted us and only us to publish this album, and we are endlessly grateful to him for this.

Spring. It is warm outside, green grass can be seen everywhere, birds chirp endlessly, air is filled with the fragrance of awakening nature. And by the way today is Cosmonautics Day...

You are probably asking, what do icebergs, northern ocean and permafrost do here? The fact is that in March-April at Cape Fligely, where we'll travel today, starts a polar day, lasting almost half a year. For more than four months sun does not set over the horizon, ceaselessly illuminating the eternal ice. Northerly there is no ground: only boundless ocean, covered with the gigantic ice coat. There is no grass and there are no trees. All that you would hear are water splashes and the black-legged Kittiwake gull crying. However, this world, absolutely dissimilar to the Man's world, full of hidden life, was explored by Man and became a part of his world.

Cape Fligely - the north-eastern tip of Rudolph's island in Arctic Ocean, being a part of Franz Josef Land, is the northernmost point of Russia, Europe and of the whole Eurasia. It was named in honor of an Austrian cartographer August von Fligely. It was discover on April 12, 1874 by an Austrian expedition on a sailing-steam schooner "Admiral Tegethoff" under the leadership of Julius Payer and Carl Weyprecht. They arrived at this cape with the intention to explore the area, to draw a sketch map of the archipelago and get back home before the end of a polar day, but on August 22, 1872 the ship became icebound and drifted for more than a year in northern direction. On August 30, 1873 the expedition was brought to the shores of the unknown land. The crew had to spend two winterings among the ice. The result was a map of the archipelago, Payer's book "725 days in the Arctic ice", and this compilation

The BTA (Bolshoi Teleskop Alt-azimutalnyi, Large Altazimuth Telescope) is the largest Eurasian optical telescope with a 6-metre solid main mirror installed at the Special Astrophysical Observatory on Semirodniki mountain at the foot of Pastukhov mountain (2733 meters) located near Nizhniy Arkhyz village of the Zelenchuksky District, Karachai-Cherkes Republic, Russia, 2070 meters above-sea level.
It was the largest telescope in the world since 1975, when it surpassed the 5-meter Hale telescope of Palomar observatory, and until 1993, when the 10-meter segmented mirror Keck telescope had been put into operation.
Nevertheless, BTA had been the largest solid mirror telescope until 1998, when the 8.2-meter VLT telescope had been put into service.
To present day BTA has the heaviest mirror and its dome is the biggest astronomical dome in the world.

Surely we can not say: because this event happened before us, before our ancestors, before dinosaurs and their ancestors. Perhaps what fell to Earth that day, gave us life...

Что же такое Суавьярви: обычное озеро в Карелии или огромная воронка шестнадцати километров в диаметре, образовавшаяся от удара чего-то огромного о поверхность нашей планеты около трёх с половиной миллиардов лет назад, впоследствии заполнившаяся водой? Наверняка мы сказать не можем: ведь это событие случилось до нас, до наших предков, до динозавров и их предков. Возможно то, что упало на Землю в тот день, зародило на ней жизнь...
Как бы то ни было, сейчас у нас - потомков свидетелей этого события, проживающих по соседству - есть одна небольшая проблема, мимо которой Tunguska EMS пройти не могла. Вот уже месяц как Министерство культуры РФ выпустило приказ о фактической ликвидации огромнейшего архива Государственного центра русского фольклора (ГЦРФ). Более 170 000 уникальных записей могут кануть в Лету, мы можем остаться без корней. Мы и так с каждым днём всё больше походим на безымянное население безымянной территории, а не на Народ своей Страны. Подумайте об этом, пока слушаете наш новогодний фолк-сборник, а потом решите готовы ли вы потратить несколько минут своей жизни, чтобы пройти по хэш-тегу #ПОДДЕРЖИФОЛК, репостнуть пару роликов, рассказать друзьям и родным об этой акции, организованной Сергеем Старостиным, и подписать петицию в защиту ГЦРФ?
